Both the North and South terminals offer a vast range of facilities for passengers. There are high street stores like WHSmith, Boots and Mango along with more exclusive brands like Pandora and Hugo Boss. Food and drink options include Costa Coffee, Jamie’s Italian, Nando’s, Giraffe and a Wetherspoon pub. There’s also a currency exchange and a duty free store.

Salzburg Airport

Salzburg Airport is located around three kilometres southwest of Salzburg city centre. There are two terminals at the airport but all flights arrive to Terminal 1. Once you have passed through customs, you’ll find a range of facilities including some convenience stores and cafés, a travel agency and a bank.

Car hire companies are based on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park, accessed by a covered walkway from the terminal building. Companies operating at the airport include Hertz, Sixt, Sunny Cars, Avis, Budget, Buchbinder and Europcar.

There’s a taxi rank and a bus terminal right outside the airport. If you choose to take a taxi, it should take between 15 and 20 minutes to reach the city centre. A number of local buses depart from outside the terminal building. Bus line 2 leaves every 10 to 15 minutes and makes the journey to Salzburg’s main and centrally located railway station. The journey takes around 20 minutes and costs €2.50*. You can buy tickets from the Newscorner store in the terminal, from machines at the bus stop or from the bus driver.
