Terminal Information – Departing
Leeds-Bradford International Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge is small but has a good range of places to relax before your flight. Shops include World Duty Free, Superdrug, WH Smith and Travelex. There's a diverse range of places to eat, with something to suit all appetites. Options include Burger King and Camden Food Company. The airport has two bars, The Saltaire Bar and the Sports Bar. If you need a caffeine fix there's a Caffe Ritazza. If you're flying on business, or just feel like treating yourself to a bit of luxury, access to The Yorkshire Lounge costs £20*. The entry fee buys you two hours access, unlimited Wi-Fi, and a wide range of complimentary snacks and drinks. It has a quieter atmosphere from the main departure lounge, perfect if you need to catch up on a bit of work before flying to Southampton.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Southampton Airport has one terminal. It's possible to reach the city by public trains and buses, as well as private transportation (taxis and rental cars). If you want to take the train you'll find the Southampton Airport Parkway Station a short walk from the terminal. Trains take about seven minutes to reach the city centre. Buses are cheaper, but slower: taking around 40 minutes to reach the centre of Southampton. Taxis are available from outside the terminal. Cabs are metered, but you can ask for a quote if you want to avoid any nasty surprises. Seven car hire brands operate from Southampton Airport: Alamo, National, Enterprise, Europcar, Avis, Budget and Hertz. You don't need your passport to fly from Leeds to Southampton. You will need to present some photographic ID at the departure gate for security reasons. Valid driving licenses are fine, but for a comprehensive list of acceptable identification on domestic flights check Eastern Airways website.
