There are five places to grab a bite to eat, including The Saltaire Bar, Burger King, Camden Food Company, Caffe Ritazza and Sports Bar. The airport has one premium lounge, the Yorkshire Lounge, and two hours of access costs £20* per adult if you pre-book. The lounge has a fully-stocked bar, complimentary food, and superfast Wi-Fi.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Terminal information is only a guideline, and is subject to change at the airline's discretion.
British Airways flights usually land at Heathrow's Terminal 5. This swanky new terminal has its own stops on the Piccadilly Line (tube) and a train station. The fastest way to reach the city is by the Express train, which costs £21.50* and takes about 15 minutes. The tube is the cheapest option at £5.70* but can take up to an hour, depending on where you're going. Another option is the Heathrow Express train: one-way tickets cost £8.70*. If you're not daunted by driving in The Big Smoke you can rent a car at Heathrow Airport: remember to compare prices with Skyscanner.
You don't need a valid passport to fly from Leeds to London. A passport that has expired within the past two years, or a valid driving license, can be used instead. We recommend checking the British Airways website for a comprehensive list of valid forms of photographic identification. We recommend arriving at the airport 90 minutes before departure.
What to expect in London
London is a massive city with lots to see, do and discover. The public transport network is excellent, and if you're planning on doing a lot of exploring we recommend picking up an Oyster card. These can be bought at ticket machines in the tube stations for £5*, and then topped up. Whether you're visiting for business or a holiday, our London City Guide has plenty of inspiration to make your trip more exciting.
