Dusseldorf International Airport is just under 4.5 miles from the city centre. The fastest way to get into Dusseldorf is by suburban train (S-bahn). Lines S7 and S11 both go to the city centre, and take 12 minutes to do so. Tickets cost €2.50*. It costs the same to take the bus, although the journey time is longer at 20 minutes. A taxi from the airport to the city will cost you around €20* and take about the same amount of time as the bus.
