Terminal Information – Departing

Leeds Airport has one terminal with a small but functional departure lounge. All of the usual airport shops are available, including World Duty Free for luxury bargains and WH Smith for the latest paperbacks. There's also a Superdrug and a Travelex, for last-minute holiday essentials. If you're peckish you can grab a snack at Burger King, Camden Food Company, or Caffe Ritazza. The Saltaire Bar is a great place to relax with a pre-flight tipple, but if you really want to kick off your holiday in style you can book into the airport's executive lounge. The Yorkshire Lounge charges £20* for entry, which includes complimentary refreshments and unlimited Wi-Fi.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Vueling flights land at Terminal 1. Jet2 and Monarch Airlines land at Terminal 2. It's easy to reach the centre of Barcelona from both terminals, either by public transport or a private rental. There are car hire desks in both arrival halls (remember to compare car hire with Skyscanner first). Private shuttle companies offer pick-up services from the airport, and some hotels in Barcelona offer this service for a small fee. There's a taxi rank outside each arrivals area, with the average cost of a taxi into the centre sitting around €30-40* (£23-31). Note that taxi prices in Spain are higher at night and on weekends. Express buses Aerobus A1 and Aerobus A2 run between the airport and Plaça de Catalunya. Tickets can be bought by card at the machines or by cash on the bus. Singles are €5.90* (about £4.60) and a 15 day returns are €10.20* (about £7.95). Terminal 2 has a train station, which you can reach from Terminal 1 using the green coach. Tickets on the suburban train are €4.10* (about £3.20) each way. Bear in mind the train doesn't stop in Barcelona, but continues on to the suburbs.
