Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Both Air Canada and Cathay Pacific flights leave from terminal 1, the third largest passenger terminal in the world. Here you’ll find plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop. Popular shops include MAC Cosmetics, Jimmy Choo, and Moncler. For something to eat, Pak Loh Chiu Chow offers local favourites such as baby oyster omelette, noodles, and dim sum while Tsui Wah offers Hainanese chicken, roast goose, and crispy beef noodles. There are plenty of Western favourites as well including McDonalds, Starbucks and Pizza Express. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout most of Hong Kong International Airport. There are also several Plaza Premium Lounges at the airport which, along with free Wi-Fi and complimentary food and drink, provide a quiet place to work and relax.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Sydney J.A. Douglas McCurdy Airport is situated just over 8 miles from Sydney, Nova Scotia. Unfortunately the airport isn't served by public transport. Local taxi firms Macleod’s Shuttle Service and Briand’s Taxi LTD offer transfers to nearby hotels and the town centre. Pre-booking is recommended as they don't always wait outside the terminal. The best option is to arrange car hire at Sydney Airport. This can be booked online with Skyscanner, or arranged on arrival. Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and National all have desks inside the arrivals area.
As this is an international flight, you should aim to arrive at Hong Kong International at least 3 hours before your departure. You will need a valid passport and, depending on your country of residence you may need a visa to enter Canada.
