Terminal Information – Departing
Glasgow Airport only has one terminal. Airport shopping is provided by World Duty Free, Boots, Maplin and WH Smith. If you're peckish you can enjoy a baguette from Upper Crust, or settle down with a panini and a coffee at Starbucks. If you're really hungry, The Sandpiper and Frankie & Benny's both offer more substantial meals. Both restaurants have bars, which is perfect if you need a small pre-flight tipple. If you're travelling with children you can let them run off some energy in the soft play area. Half an hour of free Wi-Fi is available for every visitor to the airport, so you can keep on top of emails and social media updates. If you want to treat yourself to a bit of luxury, The UpperDeck Executive Lounge has unlimited Wi-Fi as well as a range of complimentary snacks and drinks.
Terminal Information – Arriving
East Midlands Airport has one terminal. There are good transport links between the airport and the region's major cities, including Nottingham. The Skylink bus runs a regular service direct from East Midlands Airport to central Nottingham. The service is regular, calling at the airport every half an hour from 4am and once an hour after 11pm. Bus tickets cost £5* and the journey takes around 35 minutes. If you would rather make your own way to the city, car hire at East Midlands Airport is available. Budget, Avis, Interrent, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and National all have desks in the arrivals hall.
Practical Information
You don't need a passport to fly within the United Kingdom. Photographic identification is required for security reasons. You'll be asked to show this at the boarding gate. Flybe have a full list of acceptable ID types on their website. As a rule of thumb, official ID cards with a photograph on them are accepted: for example a driving license, NUS card or a recently expired passport. For domestic flights, try to arrive at least one hour before departure.
What to expect in Nottingham
