What to expect in Leeds
Leeds is ideally situated for those wishing to explore the delights of the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District, whilst also being close to Harrogate and York. The city itself is fairly compact, so the best way to see the sights is on foot – the city centre is mostly pedestrianised. The weather here isn't that different from Glasgow; perhaps a few degrees warmer, with winter temperatures ranging from around 3ºC to 10ºC and summer highs reaching around 22ºC.
Dining out in Leeds is generally fairly affordable, and the city is home to a number of value-for-money curry houses serving up exotic dishes as well as the usual popular curries.
