Terminal Information

Edinburgh Airport

It is advised that you arrive at the airport at least 1 hour before domestic flights to Gatwick. British Airways and Easyjet both offer a number of check in options either at the airport or in advance via online or mobile app.

Edinburgh Airport has one terminal which is easy to navigate and enjoy the range of facilities on offer whilst waiting for your flight to board. Within the departures lounge you will find WHSmith, Mac, Dixons and a number of other popular brands. When it comes to finding somewhere to eat there are a variety of cuisines available whether it’s seafood at Thermidors Seafood Bar or a quick bite at Eat or coffee from Costa.

You can enjoy up to 2 hours of free Wi-Fi at the airport with power points in the lounge available if you need to charge your phone.

Edinburgh Airport offers two lounges which you can upgrade to, the No. 1 Traveller Lounge and the Aspire Lounge. Here you will find a relaxing atmosphere from which you can wait for your flight, unlimited Wi-Fi and complimentary food and drinks.

Gatwick Airport

Both EasyJet and British Airways flights from Edinburgh fly into the North Terminal at Gatwick Airport.

Within the Arrivals lounge at the North Terminal you will find helpful information desks, a Costa Coffee, WHSmith, ticket booths for National Express and a number of onward travel options.

The Gatwick Express train is available from the South terminal, with services running every 15 minutes to Victoria Station. An average journey takes 30 minutes. To reach the South terminal there is an inter-terminal express shuttle service which runs every few minutes throughout the day. It takes 2 minutes to transfer between the terminals.

Car hire is available from Gatwick’s North terminal with a number of car hire companies located here, these include Avis and Hertz.
