Ryanair is the only airline that operates direct flights from Edinburgh to Rome, flying to Rome Ciampino Airport.
It is recommended that you arrive at Edinburgh Airport at least two hours before your flight to Rome is scheduled to depart. Ryanair offers a number of check in options with check in desks available at the airport, or online or mobile check in in advance.

Rome Ciampino Airport
Rome Ciampino Airport is a single terminal airport located 15km south east of Rome city centre and there are a number of onward travel options available.
If you are planning to hire a car from Rome Ciampino Airport you will find the desks for a number of car hire companies within the main arrivals hall. Outside of the terminal you will find regular bus services which run to Roma Termini Railway Station with a journey time of 40 minutes, CIampino Railway Station which takes 15 minutes and a number of towns surrounding Rome. Taxis are available from the airport and a typical fare to Rome city centre will cost approximately €35, though this is dependent on your exact destination.
