Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Norwegian Air Shuttle fly from terminal 2, Scandinavian Airlines fly from terminal 3 and Ryanair fly from CPH Go: a terminal dedicated to low-cost carriers. The airport is a dream for shopaholics, with more than 120 shops to browse. There are plenty of international high-street brands, big designer names, and cool Scandinavian stores. Each terminal has a selection of places to grab a bite to eat, whether you're in the mood for a quick coffee and sandwich or need something a little bit more substantial. There's a good range of executive lounges, too. Terminal 2 has the CPH Lounge, Aspire Lounge and Aviator Lounge. Terminal 3 has the airline exclusive SAS lounges and the Regus Express Business Lounge. There are no lounges in CPH Go.
Terminal Information – Arriving
At Stockholm-Arlanda: you can reach the city by bus or train. There are two express buses: Flygbussarna and Swebus (both charge SEK 99*/£8.25 for a single ticket). There's also an express train which charges SEK 280* (just under £23.50) for a single ticket and SEK 530* (just over £44) for a return ticket. This takes about 20 minutes to reach the city. Regular trains take 40 minutes but are cheaper at SEK 135* (about £11.25). Over 18's need to pay a station access fee of SEK 85* (just over £7) on top of the ticket price. Taxis offer a flat-rate for journeys from the airport, usually from SEK 450* to 520* (about £37.50 to just under £43.50).
At Stockholm-Skavsta: There are coaches run between the airport and the city. Tickets are SEK 139* (about £11.60) if you book in advance or SEK 159* (about £13.25) if you buy on the day. Return tickets are also available.
Since January 2016 people travelling from Denmark to Sweden are required to show their passport or national ID card. We recommend arriving at the airport around 90 minutes before scheduled departure.
What to expect in Stockholm
There's no time difference between Denmark and Sweden. The local currency is the krona. Prices in the two cities are fairly similar. You can expect to pay less for meals in restaurant and fast food joints, but alcohol is more expensive. Stockholm has colder winters than Copenhagen, with an average temperature of -3°C in January and February. It can be slightly warmer than Copenhagen in summer: the average temperature for July is 18°C.
