Former MD of match.com Jason Stockwood joins Skyscanner board

Former Managing Director of match.com Jason Stockwood has joined travel search site Skyscanner’s board as a non-executive director, providing input and insight to the company’s development of a global market-leading brand.

Stockwood announced his departure from the leading dating site last week and confirmed his intention to concentrate on NXD roles. In the last two years Jason Stockwood has grown the company through some very successful marketing campaigns including the ‘Don’t Wait for Cupid’ and ‘Too Many Women’ TV adverts. Before joining match.com, Stockwood was with Travelocity, and previously lastminute.com, Trailfinders and Lufthansa Airlines.

Gareth Williams, CEO of Skyscanner, said: “As well as leading one of the most successful online companies that we’ve seen in recent years, Jason has great insight into the online travel sector. He has built this leading global brand from a UK base, and so has encountered many of the issues Skyscanner faces as we work on becoming the world’s number one travel site. We’re delighted that we are going to have the benefit of that experience as we continue our growth in international markets and build on our success to date.”

Jason Stockwood said: “Skyscanner is a very interesting business and this is an exciting time to be involved with the company.
