Over 1000 sites sign up in first two months
Skyscanner’s Affiliate programme has got off to a flying start. Only two months after the launch from the leading European flight search engine, over 1000 sites have signed up – more than double the expected number.
“We knew there was huge demand for a Skyscanner affiliate programme from the online travel industry,” said Skyscanner co-founder and business development director Barry Smith, “But uptake has far exceeded our expectations.
“The feedback we’re getting is that the functionality of the Skyscanner search panels is one of the main attractions. They’re dynamic, very configurable, and making a serious difference to repeat visitor numbers and click through rates on the pages they’re on.
“If a business counts on customers travelling to or from it, then Skyscanner’s search panels make it easy for customers to do all the research they need so they’re happy to make their purchase. And affiliates are now earning revenue from the travel element too, so it’s a double win.”
