Cheap flights carrier Ryanair will launch four new flights from Brussels (Charleroi) in June.
In addition, Ryanair will base a further Boeing 737-800 at Brussels (Charleroi), increasing its presence to eight aircraft at the airport.
Commenting, Michael O’Leary, Ryanair’s chief executive officer, said: "With a total of 43 low fare routes from Brussels (Charleroi) this summer, Belgian consumers can beat the recession by choosing Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges to exciting destinations all over Europe."
Ryanair estimates that it will transport around three million passengers a year at Brussels (Charleroi), which is helping to sustain 3,000 local jobs in the area.
Last week the airline announced that it would launch seven flights to and from Memmingen, which is approximately 100km west of Munich, next month.
