Ryanair introduces new route to Morocco

New cheap flights from London to Agadir will be introduced by Ryanair this October.

The return services will run twice-weekly from London Stansted to the Moroccan destination, launching on October 28th as part of the cheap flights carrier’s winter campaign.

Bridget Dowling of Ryanair said: "This exciting new route from London Stansted will bring Ryanair’s total number of destinations on offer from Stansted to an amazing 207.

"Agadir is an increasingly popular holiday destination and now, thanks to Ryanair, consumers can take advantage of the guaranteed lowest fares to the beautiful Moroccan coast."

Speculation had been mounting that Ryanair was among several carriers interested in purchasing Stansted Airport – one of the UK airports mooted for sale by owner BAA following a Competition Commission investigation.

However, Ryanair have since dismissed any claims to a purchase intent. The airline’s chief executive Michael O’Leary told Reuters last month that Ryanair has "no interest in buying Stansted or any other airport".
