Qantas is to offer more flights to London and Los Angeles from later in the summer as it takes delivery of three new A380 aircraft.
The additions to the Qantas A380 fleet – which currently stands at three – will lead to 34 services a week being provided by the aircraft between Australia and the UK and US.
A fourth A380 will commence operations at the end of July, facilitating an expansion of the Sydney-Singapore-London route from three flights a week to five.
More flights to Los Angeles from Sydney will also be scheduled, while the addition of two more A380s before the year is out will prompt a further increase in the number of services offered.
"By November, Qantas will operate daily A380 services to London and Los Angeles from Sydney and will increase Melbourne-Los Angeles services from two to three A380 flights per week," commented Rob Gurney, group executive of Qantas Airlines Commercial.
Just recently, Qantas announced plans to improve its European and North American networks through further cooperation with Iberia Airlines and American Airlines.
