The carrier will offer flights to the popular holiday destination as part of its summer 2009 schedule.
This will be the first time Jet2 has offered flights from Blackpool to Menorca with the new service due to complement existing flights to destinations in mainland Spain and the Canary Islands.
"As the north’s low-cost airline, we are always seeking to broaden the choice of destinations from all of our bases," explained Jet2’s Philip Meeson.
"Blackpool is proving to be an increasingly popular departure airport, so of course we want to ensure our faithful customers – plus any new holidaymakers – have as many wonderful destinations to choose from as possible."
The Menorca flights have been welcomed by Blackpool International Airport. The Lancashire terminal has been the focus of expansion at Jet2 over recent months with the airline planning to offer cheap flights to Geneva from Blackpool as part of its winter schedule.
