Cheap flights provider easyJet has confirmed that daily flights to Tel Aviv from London Luton Airport are to commence later this year.
From November 2nd, the carrier will offer passengers the chance to fly the new route between the UK and Israel six times a week.
The flights to Tel Aviv will depart every day except Fridays and are being marketed as one of the best modes of low-cost travel to Israel.
Pini Shani, director of Israel Ministry of Tourism’s overseas department, said: "It is fantastic news that the capacity for visitors to Tel Aviv is being increased so substantially with the introduction of six more flights a week to the destination by easyJet."
He added that the new venture could provide a timely boost to Israel’s tourism industry and help to increase the number of international visitors to the city from London.
Last week easyJet revealed its intention to launch flights to Basle, Switzerland, from Dusseldorf, Germany, beginning in November.
