Passengers will be able to keep up to date with goings-on at Doncaster Sheffield Airport thanks to the utilisation of two social media portals.
Followers will also receive car parking offers and information on discounts available at Doncaster Sheffield’s retail outlets.
Jodi Stow, the airport’s marketing and communications manager, said the use of Facebook and Twitter will "create a better connection with our passengers" and allow them to keep abreast of the latest updates.
"Twitter and Facebook provide us with new ways of communicating quickly with our passengers," she explained.
"By including social media in our communications strategy we aim to engage more openly with our passengers and ultimately deliver a better service."
Robin Hood Airport, as it is also known, accommodates approximately one million passengers a year. It handles flights to more than 40 destinations around the world.
