Cimber Air to launch new service between Billund and Gatwick

Danish airline Cimber Air has announced that it will launch a new service between Billund and Gatwick on November 24th.

The new route will initially operate one daily return flight every day apart from Saturdays.

The Monday to Friday flights will depart from Billund at 15.45 and arrive in London at 16.25, with the return flights leaving at 16.55 and arriving back in western Denmark at 20.00. This schedule is due to run until March 2009.

Commenting on the new service, a report on Alternative Airlines said: "This is also great news for passengers wishing to fly to Danish capital Copenhagen, as there are excellent connections in Billund, thus avoiding the inevitable hassle and delays one encounters travelling to Heathrow."

Cimber Air flies to 18 airports in Europe from their bases at Billund, Copenhagen and Norrkoping, including Gatwick and Newcastle.

The airline operates 122 flights each day and has a punctuality rate of 84.5 percent.
