Holidaymakers hoping to secure cheap flights for next year’s break can have the pick of destinations by booking early.
This is according to ABTA – The Travel Association, which also recommended booking early as a means of taking advantage of the best value offers.
Clare Banham, a spokesperson from the organisation, said that booking a holiday months or a year in advance "is always a good option".
"There is a market that like to book well in advance so that they guarantee what they get, so that you would get the best choice that you can," she commented.
Ms Banham went on to say that one of the biggest perks of booking early is free child places, which she said "do not last forever".
According to findings from Thomas Al Fresco, four in ten Brits planning to book their holiday early started doing so last weekend.
The travel company also found that the average family will choose to holiday in the same location five times.
