Cheap flights carrier bmibaby has announced that it will launch a new summer service between East Midlands Airport and the Spanish island of Menorca.
Flights to the island’s capital, Mahon, will operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 22nd to October 24th, with one-way prices starting at £44.99 including taxes and charges.
A bmibaby press release said: "Mahon is steeped in history and offers a great base from which to explore the rest of the island.
"This cosmopolitan city has a rich legacy of heritage and culture which offers a wealth of attractions for the inquisitive explorer."
Bmibaby is offering summer flights to a number of European destinations, including Amsterdam, Palma and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).
It will also introduce a new three-times-a-week service to Almeria with prices starting from £41.99.
The airline announced at the end of last month that it would be suspending some of its flights to European cities in the wake of falling demand.
