Three flights a week will operate between the two cities on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with Air Arabia being the Middle East’s first low-cost carrier to fly to the Greek capital.
AK Nizar, the head of the airline’s commercial department, said he was "extremely pleased" to announce the launch of the new flight.
"An international tourist destination, Greece is also an important economic centre in the Mediterranean region," he said.
"There is significant passenger traffic between the country and the Middle East, particularly for tourism and business."
Mr Nizar added that Air Arabia is "confident" that its popularity with tourists in the Middle East will increase thanks to the introduction of the flight.
A recent report from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation predicted that cheap flight carriers would enjoy an increased demand from passengers during the course of 2009.
