Qatar Airways will increase its number of flights to Zurich from October next month.
The Middle Eastern carrier will introduce an additional Saturday service on the route from October 25th.
It is hoped that the additional flight will be popular among Swiss holidaymakers, with Qatar’s onward connections from Doha including leisure destinations such as the Maldives, the Seychelles and Kuala Lumpur.
Connecting flights to Bangkok and Ho-Chi-Minh City in Vietnam are also available.
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways’ chief executive officer, said that the airline had "enjoyed five years of success" flying from Switzerland.
"We are pleased to be able to reinforce our commitment to this important European market through adding capacity and offering our passengers more choice and flexibility on the Zurich route," he commented.
Zurich and Switzerland have proved to be attractive destinations in their own right, with the city and country experiencing an increase in visitors over recent years.
Qatar Airways recently signalled its intent to expand its presence in the US by opening a new office in Washington DC.
