Cheap flights carrier Wizz Air will launch new flights to Bergen from Gdansk in the run-up to Christmas.
The route to Norway’s second-largest city will be introduced on December 18th and operate on a twice-weekly basis.
The Hungarian airline will base a third Airbus A320 at Gdansk in December, allowing it to expand its operations from Poland’s primary seaport city, which has a population of just under half a million people.
As well as undertaking flights to Milan Bergamo and Eindhoven, the new aircraft will allow Wizz Air to increase frequencies on a number of other routes.
Elsewhere, the airline will launch new flights to Catania and Bologna Forli from Bucharest on September 21st and October 28th respectively.
Wizz Air has an extensive flights network operating from Romania, with 12 Italian destinations being served from its three bases in the eastern European country.
The airline, which began flying in 2004, offers 150 European routes from its 11 bases.
