Wizz Air plans full deployment of web check-in service

Passengers travelling on Wizz Air’s cheap flights from Romania are starting to benefit from the airline’s online check-in service.

The carrier is deploying the service across its Romanian airports, with web check-in soon to be available at Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Tirgu Mures.

Online check-in is being introduced across the eastern European country over the coming weeks and Wizz Air expects it to be fully deployed by April 1st.

The service is available at the airline’s website, between seven days and three hours from a flight’s scheduled take off.

It does not affect how passengers board their aircraft, with customers expected to be present at the boarding gate no later than 30 minutes before the timetabled departure time.

To encourage take-up of the service, Wizz Air will introduce an airport check-in fee of €5 (if booked in advance, €10 if purchased at the airport on the day of departure) on April 1st.

On May 14th, the airline will launch flights to Venice Treviso from Lviv, a city in western Ukraine.
