European cheap flights carrier Wizz Air has announced its intention to launch new flights to Venice Treviso from Kiev this autumn.
The European carrier said that the new route between Ukraine and Italy will commence on October 27th, with flights scheduled to operate twice weekly.
From December 15th onwards, the number of weekly flights on the route will be bumped up to three.
The news comes two days after Wizz Air revealed that it intends to increase the number of scheduled flights on several of its existing routes during September and October.
Jozsef Varadi, chief executive of the carrier, said: "With these frequency changes we are stepping up immediately to accommodate the increased demand."
He added that the airline will base a third aircraft at Prague from June 2010, which will allow it to expand operations from the Czech capital and also open several new routes.
