The low fares airline’s new route will be the first between Ukraine and Norway, and will operate on an initial twice weekly basis from January 5th next year subject to regulatory approval.
Commenting on the new service, Natasa Kazmer, director of the board of Wizz Air Ukraine, said the carrier was committed to rapid expansion in and from Ukraine.
"The new flight will allow thousands of passengers to discover Norway and Ukraine at affordable prices and will undoubtedly strengthen the economical relationship between the two countries as well," she said.
Tickets have already gone on sale for the new route.
Wizz Air said last month that it would expand its Hungarian operations by adding a new Airbus A320 aircraft and increasing its routes from Budapest from April 2009.
The new aircraft will be Wizz’s third operating from the Hungarian capital.
