Cheap flights carrier Wizz Air is introducing new flights to Madrid from Warsaw ahead of its 2010 summer season.
A further route from Poland will be implemented thanks to the launch of flights to Barcelona from Gdansk, with both routes due to commence on a twice-weekly basis from April 24th.
They will replace Wizz Air’s existing flights to Gothenburg from Gdansk and Memmingen from Katowice.
Gyorgy Abran, the airline’s chief commercial officer, said the changes to its route network reflect the changing needs of passengers.
"The numerous feedbacks that we got from the public as well as from the trade indicated that Spain is an increasingly popular market and we believe that now is the right time to act," he explained.
Elsewhere, Wizz Air will introduce three-times-weekly flights to Pisa from Budapest on July 1st.
The home of the leaning tower will become the sixth city in Italy served by the carrier from the Hungarian capital.
