Cheap flights carrier Wizz Air has introduced web check-in for its passengers flying from Brussels-Charleroi, Budapest and Eindhoven.
Central and eastern Europe’s largest low-cost airline has also implemented the changes for travellers flying from a further 14 airports on the continent, some of the most notable being London Luton, Glasgow Prestwick and Frankfurt Hahn.
The web check-in service is available from seven days right up until three hours prior to a flight’s departure, with passengers benefitting from faster access to the boarding gates.
Instead of checking-in in person, Wizz Air customers can now head to the boarding area at least 30 minutes before their flight is scheduled to take off.
To encourage passengers to use the service, the carrier will introduce an airport check-in fee from April 1st, which will cost €5 (£4.33) if bought at the time of booking and €10 (£8.67) if purchased on the day of departure.
Wizz Air will launch flights to London Luton, Oslo Torp and Turku from Riga on March 28th as it expands its European route network.
