The airline will add two weekly flights from Poznan to Rome’s Fiumicino Airport on December 16th.
Flights to Cork will start on December 19th and also run twice a week.
Both flights are part of Wizz’s ongoing expansion plans in Poland and are designed to complement existing routes from Poznan to a number of European destinations including Glasgow Prestwick, Doncaster, Dortmund and London Luton.
Services to Milan Bergamo from Poznan are due to be added in January after changes in passenger traffic suggested that customers are now looking for flights to leisure destinations from Poland.
A statement from Wizz explained: "The labour traffic between Poland and the UK has shown a significant downturn while the demand for other routes – mainly to leisure destinations – increased"
The airline recently announced its first service between Paris and its Romanian base in Cluj. Flights to Paris Beauvais Airport will start in December and operate three times per week.
