The international airline has announced that it will add five return flights from London to Jamaica to cater to passenger demand.
An Airbus A340-300 will provide the additional services from Gatwick, which the airline hopes will meet the demand from travellers seeking winter sun in Jamaica and those flying out to spend Christmas with their families.
The extra flights will run on December 22nd, 23rd and 29th, as well as on January 5th and 6th.
"This route has proved very popular with leisure customers and these additional flights will provide a further boost to the region’s economy, with over 2,000 passengers expected to take advantage of the extra services," said chief executive Steve Ridgway.
Virgin recently announced increased frequencies on flights to Hong Kong from London following passenger demand.
The airline will run three flights a week from Heathrow to Hong Kong from October, with the service increasing to daily in December.
