Cheap flights airline flyglobespan will introduce a new route between Cardiff and Toronto next summer.
The carrier will begin offering cheap flights from Cardiff to Hamilton Airport commencing June 2009. Services will operate until September 2009.
Flyglobespan chief executive, Rick Green, explained that the newly introduced route will be a response to growing demand among passengers.
He said: "We are delighted to be offering this new service to people in the South Wales area.
"Our Canadian flying programme is increasing in popularity year after year, and we are confident that our winning combination of low-cost flights and superior service will prove a real hit from Cardiff too."
The cheap flights carrier recently reassured passengers that it was equipped to see out the current spate of carrier bankruptcies that has seen thousands of tourists left stranded abroad.
Despite posting £20 million losses in 2007, Mr Green claimed the airline was in "great shape" to see out the financial crisis.
