Japan coach Takeshi Okada is a fine strategist and he will need to be on top of his game if Japan are going to make progress in South Africa. Their biggest name is Espanyol player Shunsuke Nakamura who possesses skill and natural intelligence for the game. He is complemented by Shinji Okazaki who has a decent scoring record up front. Japan will struggle against the physical size of many of the European teams and whilst they work hard and well as a team, these limitations will show.
