SmartWings has opened a new route between Prague and Burgas, Bulgaria.
Flights from the Czech capital to the Black Coast city are scheduled for Sunday mornings, with Boeing 737-800 aircraft set to operate the route.
The news comes soon after SmartWing commenced new, regular flights to Greece and Bulgaria.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, travellers can take advantage of flights from Ostrava to Preveza, while Sundays will see flights scheduled from Brno to Burgas.
As is the case for the Prague to Burgas route, Ostrava to Preveza and Brno to Burgas lines are operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Visitors to Burgas are likely to have been drawn by its status as a key cultural and tourist hub, with attractions including the Burgas Regional Historical Museum and the Museum of Nature and Science.
With over 210,000 inhabitants the city is the fourth most populous in Bulgaria – after Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna – and is also the second largest seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
