Skyscanner has scooped the award for ‘best meta search site’ in the 2010 Travelmole Web awards.
Gareth Williams, Skyscanner CEO commented:
“Over the last year we’ve put in an enormous amount of work into the site to make Skyscanner an even faster, more comprehensive flight search engine for our users. We’re really happy that our efforts have been officially recognised by winning this award.”
Travelmole is the largest global online community for the travel and tourism industry, with over 450,000 members. The annual awards are voted for by travel professionals and judged by a panel of industry experts.
The award will join Skyscanner’s growing collection of accolades which includes being shortlisted for the 2009 MediaGuardian awards as well as the ‘Angel or VC-backed Business of the Year’ and the ‘Innovative Business of the Year Award’ categories of the Fast Growth Business Awards, run by Growing Business Magazine. Skyscanner was also listed in the The GP Bullhound Media Momentum Top 50.
