Skyscanner is one of just three companies to have been shortlisted as finalists in the Digital Creative category of the 2009 MediaGuardian Innovation Awards (The Megas).
The Digital Creative category rewards the creative application of an existing digital technology, and judges will be looking for a ‘creative concept which breaks boundaries and challenges perceptions’. The awards party will take place at Sketch in London, on the 24th March.
The news comes shortly after Skyscanner were shortlisted as finalists for the ‘Angel or VC-backed Business of the Year’ and the ‘Innovative Business of the Year Award’ categories of the Fast Growth Business Awards, run by Growing Business Magazine.
Gareth Williams, co-founder and CEO of Skyscanner commented on the news:
“To have been shortlisted for the MediaGuardian award is great news for Skyscanner, and we’re delighted that our hard work in building an innovative flight site is being recognised alongside the most creative online projects in the UK.”
