Gareth Williams, Skyscanner CEO and co-founder Barry Smith have been invited to attend Web Mission 2011 in Silicon Valley.
Taking place on March 5th-11th, Web Mission 2011 gives the entrepreneurs behind 18 of the UK’s fastest growing web technology companies, the opportunity to engage with top people from US technology businesses such as Twitter.
Already highly successful in the UK, the companies will meet the media as well as peers from around the world, investors, potential partners and experts on the financial and public policy agendas relevant to web technology businesses operating in the United States.
Gareth Williams commented:
"At Skyscanner we have engineered our technology to adapt to how each individual person thinks about travel. It is this revolutionary intelligent search technology that truly sets us apart from the rest."
"We were thrilled to be chosen to participate in Web Mission 2011 and look forward to the opportunity to meet our peers and potential partners as we continue to grow in this exciting industry."
In 2010, Skyscanner recorded growth of 140%, generating more than £50 million in downstream revenue per month. In the same year, Skyscanner was named #21 in Times Tech Track 100 and #30 in ‘Deloitte Fast 50’ list of the fastest growing companies in the United Kingdom.
