Many mountainous regions of Europe are forecasting snow in the next few days, bringing a welcome top up after a two week period of cold, sunny but largely snowless weather.
France – several ski resorts in the French Alps received snow over the weekend, (e.g. Tinges and Val d’Isere enjoyed around 20cm of fresh fall). France is expecting heavy snow (1 meter plus!) over most of the country this week, which should mean that powder skiing and snowboarding is back on the menu for next week. Find cheap flights to Geneva, Chambery, Lyon, Grenoble
Austria – more snow falling on much of Austria over the weekend, providing a welcome top up in resorts like St Anton and Obertauern. More snow is forecast for this week, so there should be some good powder conditions by the weekend. Find cheap flights to Innsbruck and Salzburg.
Italy – some really good powder conditions in Italy at the moment. The Milky Way ski area which is already reporting excellent conditions, is expecting almost half a meter more snow this week. 80cm is forecast for Cervina. Find cheap flights to Milan
Best of the rest
USA – although very little snow has fallen on US ski resorts this week, the cold, sunny weather is providing excellent ski conditions in areas such as Colorado and Utah. Find cheap flights to the USA
Germany – snow for the German Alps over the weekend have meant good skiing this week, with storms moving in over the next few days, a hefty top up is looking likely – so next week powder could be on the menu. Find cheap flights to Munich
