sunny weather is still dominating most European ski resorts this week
General conditions in The Alps and Pyrenees remain cold and sunny with small amounts of fresh snow having fallen in some areas last week. Eastern North America has received good snow over the weekend with powerful winter storms hitting Quebec, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire.
Italy – Still good sunny conditions across Italy’s Alpine resorts, with snow being preserved by the cool conditions. The Milky Way ski area is one of the best places to ski at the moment and Algana has the best base. Find cheap flights to Milan
Austria – the very cold weather prevails in Austria which has preserved the snow well, despite no new falls last week. More snow is on the way though – with light falls expected later on this week. Saalbach has all 55 of its lifts currently open, and excellent skiing under blue skies is on offer. Find cheap flights to Innsbruck and Salzburg
USA – after last week’s dumps on the west , the east has received heavy falls this weekend with up to 30cm of new snow in some resorts. However, the western Jackson Hole in Wyoming is still receiving plenty of fresh snow with most lifts open. Avalanche risk is high, so be extra vigilant if straying off piste or out of bounds. Andorra – glorious sunny slopes in the Pyrenees at the moment mean you’ll need to you high factor sun block at the moment – almost all lifts are open at all for Andorran ski resorts. Find cheap flights to Toulouse and Barcelona
Norway & Sweden – packed snow is on offer in Scandinavia’s premier ski resorts this week, with cloud cover arriving later in the week, which is hoped to bring more snow. Find cheap flights to Oslo and Stockholm
