Skyscanner’s regular ski report, letting you know where in the world the best snow is falling and how to get there

ski.googles.JPGWelcome to Skiscanner – Skyscanner’s regular ski report, letting you know where in the world the best snow is falling and how to get there. So grab your goggles, book a flight and head for the hills!

Many parts of the UK are still being affected by snow, which has brought excellent conditions to Scotland’s five ski areas. The European mainland continues to report fantastic ski conditions, as does many parts of the USA and Canada.

France – another large load of snow for resorts in the French Alps, with 60cm being reported as fallen, and yet more on its way, along with some very cold conditions so pack those thermals. Find cheap flights to Geneva, Chambery, Lyon, Grenoble

Scotland – the recent heavy snowfalls have been welcomed in the Highlands and have dramatically improved ski conditions both on and off the piste, meaning that now is an excellent time to visit any of Glencoe, The Nevis Range, The Lecht, Cairngorm or Glenshee. Find cheap flights to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Italy – some resorts in Italy now have a base of more than 5m and the heavy fresh snow over the last few days means that Italy continues to have an excellent season. Yet more snow is forecast, but avalanche risk is high so be very wary about venturing off piste.

Best of the rest

Andorra – fresh snow over the weekend for Andorra’s resorts, which are now in excellent shape – and more snow is on its way this week. Find cheap flights to Toulouse

Switzerland – up to 40cm of fresh snow for many resorts, vastly improving conditions. Find cheap flights to Geneva and Zurich.

Austria – moderate top ups fell over many Austrian resorts ranging from 10cm to 40cm, and as in the rest of Europe, more snowy weather is on its way.
