The UK itself has been hit by heavy snow storms, especially in the South of England, which forecasters are saying are the heaviest in 18 years. The European continent continues to report fantastic ski conditions, with yet more snow expected across the Alps and Pyrenees.

France – light snow for some French resorts have topped up pistes, but stormy conditions including high winds have meant many ski areas are not running all lifts. However, more wintry snowy weather is on its way, with over half a meter of snow expected. Find cheap flights to Geneva, Chambery, Lyon, Grenoble

Italy – the Italian ski season continues to be one of the best in years, with more fresh snow reported at many resorts and moderate to heavy falls forecast across the Alps and Dolomites this week, so if you’re heading this way – bring your powder gear. Find cheap flights to Milan

USA – both east and west coast of the USA are enjoying excellent conditions following massive snowfalls last week, with cold, powder conditions on the menu. Find cheap flights to the USA

Andorra – still reporting good conditions for its resorts following a dusting of snow over the weekend, topping up a base of up to 2m. Find cheap flights to Toulouse

Canada – Western resorts are reporting powder and more snow forecast to fall this week. Whistler has received a small, yet much needed top up, and expects more to fall in the next few days. Find cheap flights to Canada

Switzerland – fresh snow for many resorts, though also poor visibility being reported. Forecast says heavy snow is on its way, so powder back on the menu for next week. Find cheap flights to Geneva and Zurich
