Sabre signs deal with World Travel Services

Global distribution system Sabre has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Bahrain-based travel company World Travel Services.

Global distribution system Sabre has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Bahrain-based travel company World Travel Services (WTS). The partnership will see Sabre’s Middle East network join forces with WTS – part of the Unitag Group – to help it boost business and improve profits.

This will be done through Sabre providing product support, customer service and training to the agency, according to reports. Daniel Naoumovitch, chief executive of Sabre Travel Network Middle East, described the deal as "another milestone in Sabre’s success achieved by working in close partnership with local travel agencies." He added: "Our aim is to help them to grow their business by implementing a state-of-the art, streamlined reservations system. We will be offering WTS our highest level of support in training, helpdesk and product development."

Last month Sabre announced the launch of air shopping capabilities with AirTran Airways through its new XML connectivity. The move was described as an industry first for low cost carriers.
