Global distribution system (GDS) specialist Sabre Travel Network is to harness the social networking and knowledge-sharing trends of Web 2.0, launching a new Community Platform for business travellers.
Partnering with American Express, Sabre’s ‘Cubeless’ platform is designed to allow the employees of a business to share business travel information ranging from flight times to the suitability of hotels and restaurants.
Sabre’s GetThere online booking tool will host the platform as an application module, with Cubeless already functioning internally and containing some 10,000 user profiles – the benefits of which will be extended to willing companies when the product is launched later this year.
