Manchester Airport has announced details of changes to the check-in facilities at Terminal 1.
As part of upgrade work at the airport, a £35 million redevelopment project is ongoing at the terminal with improvements to the ground level check-in area following a new £10 million security area.
From May 28th, passengers travelling with Aer Arann, Air Berlin, Aurigny Air Services, Icelandair, Jet2, Olympic Airlines, Ryanair and Lufthansa’s Swiss International Airlines will use the new facility.
The desks will be accessible from the drop-off point sign-posted ‘Ground Level Check-In’ and from lift level 0 for passengers using the Terminal 1 short-stay car park.
The airport’s Station Link Bus service will drop passengers outside the entrance to the ground level check-in area.
One of the airlines located in the new check-in area, Ryanair, recently announced a new flight from Manchester to Frankfurt, which will start in October.
