Turkish cheap flights carrier Pegasus Airlines will launch new flights to Istanbul and Bodrum from Stansted on April 1st and May 4th respectively.
The airline will launch a daily flight to the Turkish city, while the flight to Bodrum will operate once-weekly on Mondays.
Five flights to Istanbul from Stansted are currently operated by Pegasus each week, with departures leaving London at 12:45 GMT and arriving in Istanbul at 18:20 (local time).
Sertac Haybat, Pegasus Airlines’ general manager, said that Europe and the UK were an "important market" for the airline.
"We are scaling up our service from London in response to growing demand from the UK, with load factors and online bookings increasing every month," he said.
"We are also delighted to be adding a direct Bodrum flight to our UK service, making the journey to this year’s hottest holiday destination cheaper and easier than ever before."
It is expected that more people could book flights to Istanbul ahead of it claiming the title of European City of Culture 2010.
