Finnair will introduce non-stop leisure flights to Phuket as part of this year’s winter schedule using an Airbus A330 wide-bodied aircraft.
This will allow passengers to travel more comfortably in either comfort class or economy class.
Finnair Leisure flights’ sales manager Heidi Niemenlehto-Jarvinen said that passengers who wouldn’t normally travel in business class will now benefit from a similar level of comfort.
"Passenger comfort will also be improved by the fact that stopovers will no longer be needed and the aircraft will fly to Phuket direct from Helsinki for the first time on Finnair’s own aircraft," she explained.
Flights to Phuket, which take effect on November 6th, will operate four times a week.
Economy class passengers will benefit from new ergonomically designed seats featuring improved neck support.
Finnair’s fourth Airbus A300 aircraft will make its first commercial flight to Delhi today.
Following the inaugural flight, the aircraft will make a number of scheduled flights on the airline’s long-haul network.
