Czech Airlines has won the Best Airline based in Central and Eastern Europe prize at the Official Airline Guide (OAG) awards ceremony.
It is the sixth year in a row that the carrier has secured the accolade, with the ceremony referred to as "the Oscars" of the airline industry.
Winners are chosen following an evaluation of services offers by airlines by registered OAG voters and frequent flyers from around the world.
President of Czech Airlines Miroslav Dvorak said the carriers is "highly honoured" to receive the award, particularly in light of the strong competition from other airlines.
"For us, the award is a Michelin star, proof that Czech Airlines are keeping the highest standards of service, even in the current complicated environment in the airline industry," he commented.
Earlier this year, Czech Airlines secured the Best Airline in Central Europe prize at the World Airlines Awards, while TTG named it the best airline operating in the Czech market.
Last month, the carrier installed self-service check-in kiosks as Prague’s Ruzyne Airport, allowing passengers to check themselves in ahead of their flight.
