Sterling Airlines has entered into a joint agreement with Norwegian Air Shuttle for cooperation on flights from Copenhagen to Oslo and Stockholm.
From September 15th, the two airlines will operate a codeshare agreement on cheap flights from Oslo to Copenhagen and from Stockholm to Copenhagen.
This agreement will be extended in October to include flights to international destinations from Oslo and Stockholm.
Flights to Alicante, Malaga, Faro, Nice, Barcelona and Tenerife from Oslo will be added in October with Norwegian running most of the flights from Oslo.
Sterling will offer flights from Stockholm to Alicante, Malaga, Nice and Las Palmas, as well as Copenhagen.
The codeshare deal is expected to offer passengers a greater choice of cheap flights from Scandinavia.
Reza Taleghani, president and chief executive of Sterling said, "Sterling had operated similar code share agreements with both Norwegian and with Fly Nordic, before its acquisition by Norwegian, and we are pleased to offer our customers the increased flexibility of choosing routes operated by us and our partner again.
"Both Norwegian and Sterling have a clear interest in maintaining satisfied customers by offering a wide choice of products at attractive prices and this agreement should make it simpler for passengers to travel with both of us."
Sterling recently announced two new flights to Italy earlier this month. Passengers will now be able to fly from Copenhagen and Stockholm to Naples.
