New security system at Charles de Gaulle

A state-of-the-art video security system has been rolled out at the new Galerie Parisienne terminal

A state-of-the-art video security system has been rolled out at the new Galerie Parisienne terminal at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.

Designed to improve passenger safety, the IP video solution was developed for the Aeroports de Paris Group by Verint.

The new terminal at Charles de Gaulle will allow the airport to offer more flights to destinations in Europe and beyond, with space for 26 additional aircraft.

Some 600 Verint Nextiva Intelligent Edge Devices have been fitted in the Galerie Parisienne terminal, with the new cameras integrated with the airport’s existing CCTV network.

"We are pleased to help the Aeroports de Paris Group enhance security at Paris Charles de Gaulle," said David Parcell, managing director at Verint Systems.

"Verint understands the needs of mission critical transit authorities and is committed to delivering innovative solutions to address their most important security concerns."

Low-cost airline Flybe is to launch a new flight from Guernsey to Charles de Gaulle next month.
